Hi,

What is the maximum LCD resolution with the NGW100?

What are the hardware and software factors that affect the acheivable LCD resolution on the NGW100? I plan to use Linux.

Thanks for reading the post,

2048 x 2048, but it depends on how many colours you plan to show at the same time...

I would not recommend going larger than WQVGA with the AP7000, 16-bit SDRAM and Linux. VGA might work if you up the priority for the LCDC.

I would like to have 1024x768 resolutiuon with 16bpp. Is it possible with Linux running? Or If I have a RTOS and a custom GUI on it?

Thanks

That is about 94 MB/s IMHO, I would have made a design with 32-bit SDRAM for that. You will need a small system which only does the graphics to get that to work, Linux would not be usable for that.
