The AVR® ONE! is a powerful development tool for on-chip debugging and programming of all AVR32 devices. In the future AVR ONE! will also support all AVR devices.
It has been spotted at Atmel's stand in Nuremberg this week!
The preliminary price can be found at Atmel.ru :

Intriguing tool -- thanks for the link! I'll look forward to when they publish more details on the device.
interfaces with AVR32 Studio 2 and newer.
AVR32 Studio version 2 is the upcoming release AFAIK :)
Yes, version 2 will be out by Easter. And the AVRONE is supposed to cost $599 in the US.
Sweet device! I wonder how Ashling are gonna love another Nexus-compatible real-time trace debugger out there, especially when it costs what, ~25% of theirs? Though I guess you get some extra software from Ashling.
Interestingly, there has been very little traffic on this forum requesting a high-end debugger and lots and lots looking for something more low-end than a JTAGICEmkII. Does anyone know if Atmel will be scratching the low-end programmer itch for AVR32 soon?

Well, I did get a chance to see AVRONE in action at EW in Nuremberg, and the price vs functionality was the fact that really caught my interest. Last time I checked with Ashling, their debugger/SW frontend was at a cost of almost €9000 (!!), e.g. way too expensive for my company for sure....I guess Atmel effectively plugged the hole in their portfolio by launching their own debugger for less than 1/20 of the Ashling solution ;)
AVR One! a few seconds @ avrtv.com: :D
In this short AVR TV special, we show you how to create a reasonably sensible project with AVR32 Studio and the Software Framework, and program it into an EVK1100.
UC3 => You see free [to your release] :D
