I just re-installed Microchip Studio and it looks like they removed re-configure Atmel Start from the right click in solutions explorer. I used to have the option to re-configure Atmel Start there. Is there something I'm missing or did they discontinue this integration? Also, not sure if there is a more appropriate forum for this question if so feel free to let me know and I can move the question to there.
Ok weird I found a work around, but I think this maybe a edge case bug with the software. Actually after a while I realized this is really annoying as no projects from my previous version(I don't know what version this is as I've already uninstalled it) don't load into microchip studio as a Atmel Start project.
After uninstalling Microchip studio and opening the project with the latest version of Microchip Studio it doesn't recognize it as a Atmel Start Project. If it doesn't recognize it as a Atmel Start Project it doesn't give you the re-configure option. It's odd because 10 minutes earlier in my old install of Microchip studio with the same exact project Atmel Studio did recognize it as a Atmel Start project.
So the work around was:
1.) Upload project into Atmel Start online. (Which did recognize it as a Atmel Start Project)
2.) Download the resulting Atmel Start project.
3.) Re-add my source files to the project since Atmel Start Online doesn't look at those when uploading the project.
4.) The resulting combo of the online Atmel Start download of the project and my source files now allows me to re-configure Atmel Start from within Atmel Studios.
Confusing I know, but hey it worked for me.
