It looks like he soldered it to a mother board to add a uSD card, HDMI connector, Eithernet connector, USB connector, etc.
So at the end of the day I'm not sure it is much smaller than an RPI.
That said, it is still very cool!
Concur on cool though still practical.
A use case is embed an MPU into an instrument, gateway, etc. (headless, RS-485/CAN/LVDS/10BASE-T1L/etc); minimal essential is CPU, bootloader NVM, operating system NVM plus "some", RAM, peripheral pads, PMIC.
