Hi

What I would call a navigation window has disappeared from side of screen, and I cant remember the proper name for it to search for.

The window had a minute outline of the entirety of the code with an actual window with which you could click on with the mouse and move up and down and zoom. I've managed to enable it weeks ago and I have just closed it down and but can't find it to re-enable.

Oh! since I'm here would it be possible to implement a Right Click mouse option to format document - certainly more options on the Right Click mouse to aide editing etc

Thanks

This topic has a solution.

Thanks for the reply

Nope tried there - I've actually gone through the most obvious 'Tools > Options ' options before posting

Oh and my vertical scroll bar has also disappeared

I did the reset and all that happened was that these VA ones appeared...

So if it's not the "VA Outline" I showed previously I guess it has to be "VA View" (as "VA Hashtags" seems unlikely).

Update Found it!

Tools -> Option -> All Languages -> Scroll Bars  ( and 'Behaviour' settings and look for 'Map Mode' for my original post solution)

Atmel this is a F******ing ridiculous location and term for this function. What the hell has 'All Language' have to do with a scroll bar - I've had to use the mouse wheel to navigate my code for three days.  The cramp I've had in my right hand is worse than when I was 15 - GGRR!

Not Atmels fault.....AS7 is built on Microsoft Visual Studio.  Blame Microsnot

So if it's not the "VA Outline"

What's VA???  can't they use words?

What does the desired option look like (screen shot)?

By the way notice how much the "full" version of Whole Tomato's Visual Assist costs:

https://www.wholetomato.com/purc...

which shows:

Although the copy in AS7 is a "cut down" version I have always thought it quite a bargain that not only do you get AS7 for "free" but they add in a copy of this, fairly expensive, product too and it's all still free!

Now it's true that (despite what else you might think of Microsoft) I think that one of the ultimate source browsing tools is "Intellisense" and while AS7 is VS2015 it did not inherit Intellisense - which is presumably why they did the deal to include VAssistX (perhaps as an "advert" for those who would use it in AS7 and later want to go on and use it in Visual Studio?) - but I guess it's better than nothing to have VA?
