Guys,

i just discover that i can no longer load any atmel start configuration with ATSAMD51 MCU inside the Atmel start online gui, it gives loading error.

I tried different versions i stored of the project but no way.

I'm completely totally blocked and i don't want to loose all the work done until now.

Please help!!!!

Filo,

You are not alone. I too have seen the same thing starting 9/15/20.

Are you configuring the clock chain using DPLL0?

Me too. There seems to be a bug in Atmel Start when you have generator 0 set to DPLL0. I have been working with Atmel support and hopefully there is a fix coming soon. In the meantime, I simply have Generator 0 reference the external crystal.

Ok thanks a lot for the info.

I have a couple of questions.

Question 1: how can i link gen0 to osc (or whatever) without accessing atmel start? any suggestion?

Question 2: how do you access the atmel support?

One info more... given that i was blocked here with D51 and E54, I moved to a project with D21. Here atmel config loaded correctly.

I made some change in the config, downloaded in atmel studio, saved and closed. I came back on it 10 minutes ago and BOOM! not loading anymore with  300 lines of error.

It might be that hey have some prob with DPLL0 but it seems to me that they have MUCH bigger problem with they QA process pre-release and sanity check after release.

Thanks once again for your support.

You could take a look at this project rather than relying on Start to configure clocks on D5x/E5x.

Looks like Atmel Start is fixed relative to the clock issue.

Yes i just checked and they updates the atmel start today

Now both D51 and E54 projects with DPLL0 are working.

Also the D21 project is working now. Into this last project there was no DPLL configured so they eventually fixed other things most likely.

Thanks to  scdoubleu  for the link it's indeed interesting.

Thanks to all
