Ok, i'm being stupid, where is the link to the source code:

https://www.microchip.com/wwwAppNotes/AppNotes.aspx?appnote=en591795

This Application Note describes how to use Self-programming Program Memory to access the flash memory and reprogram it while executing code, using given C functions. It includes source code written for ATmega128, where the flash write function is located in the Boot section of Flash and remaining code placed in the application section of flash.

Keywords:

Microchip, AVR, Microcontroller, Microcontroller, self-programming, Bootloader, In-System Programming, ISP

note particularly

It includes source code written for ATmega128

Does it? really? where?

Google for AVR106.zip

App Notes are often found via the unintelligible name but no mention of the code.    If the App Note is called AVR1234 search for AVR1234.zip

I have attached my copy of AVR106.zip

There might be a more recent version.

David.
