Hi guys!

We have 666 pages of threads in the AVR forum as of now (which is 6:18pm european summer time which should be 5:18pm GMT). What does this mean for the forum, what for AVRs in general? I guess we're all doomed now! Does anyone have a doomsday device to cope with this? (try searching thinkgeek for "doomsday") It's the end!

Sorry, couldn't resist ;-)

Daqq's working on it, but we're not sure whether it's preemptive or supportive.

Too late! It needed to be done before we reached 666. He probably got it on a government contract.

These are Daqq's world domination services speaking. We regret to inform you, that you know too much, and therefore will be taken into custody and interogated when David rules the World. Until then have a pleasant day.

The 666: Oh what the heck. It's just a number. Oh, yah, the number of the Stan guy also, but I don't think he deals into online forums. The worst thing that may happen is that we get a bigger dosage of SPAM than usual...

Well David would have finished on time; but he had to write a robot line follower article, which = $’s for new toys, which = new projects, which = we'll have to wait for the domination thingy. Coming to a world near you soon.

PS:
David, think I forgot to mention how happy I am with your signature!

Sorry to end the party, but has anyone tried selecting page 666?
It's empty, as are all pages greater than 548 (as of this post).

Another feature of AVRFreaks :D

I might have a doomsday machine. Some time back, I got a 0-30V, 3A power supply from from Marlin P. Jones and Assoc. (part number HY3003) Every time I turn it on, it displays 666 and 666 in the voltage and current windows. (in red, 7-segment LEDs) The 6's only last about 1/2 a second, but it makes me wonder about where the PS was manufactured.

Probably just up the road from you in Topeka, KS - zip codes 66601 - 66619

One of the nutty local ministers wants the USPS to change the zip codes for the sin-infested city.

Words fail.... I can't imagine that anyone could stage a protest at someone's funeral.

"Nutty" doesn't begin to describe this guy does it ?

Oh please! I hate to generalize, but Americans tent to be very sensitive about these things. During the Lord of the Rings: Two Towers mania (the book was better) some people were pissed off that the name reminded them of the 9.11 incident.

There are actually only 548 pages in this forum... after that it's just the sticky announcement that shows.

Is it true that 666 is a Flying Spaghetti Monster Pastafarian anagram representing the anti-Pasta?

Aw, heck, since this is OT...

Here in 'Murka, for some reason, there is always a lunatic fringe (a phrase coined right here in 'Murka) that will take offense at something and denounce it in the most public terms. How else will they get attention in their otherwise dull, hum-drum lives?

Oh, and we love a good crisis! We can't do anything unless it's a crisis. Check out: http://www.workingforchange.com/comic.cfm?itemid=22437

Okay, back to work, dog! (*whimper*) :o
