Hi guys.

I'm about to make a project and was thinking of making it wireless.... like serial over bluetooth.
But who makes bluetooth ic's or some other sort of mini bluetooth kit ???

And is it easy to talk over bluetooth ?
And should I maybe use something else ??

Thx for the links John :D

But they are all very expensive and very large...
I'm thinking of a single chip solution...
I where thinking... I have 2 old phones (T-310 & T-610) don't these phones have a bluetooth chip I could solder out and use ?
Or will that be to hard to use/control ?

Wow. You're optimistic. The only chip solutions are in BGA packages. And even they AFAIK require external parts (a lot of quite specialized). Modules like John put there simplify soldering and developmnet. So you're really better of with them.

Texas Instruments makes a chip in a BGA package, but that's probadly useless to you.

www.aurel.it might help. It's not bluetooth, it's more of 433MHz. Or look through the old discussions. This subject arises once each month or so. :-)
