Dang - this is really living vicariously here. I missed out on the free offer fo the Dragon, and am now waiting with bated breath for the first results and experiences. And then, dangit, I have to wait till it's available through regular channels.

Couple the Dragon with a Motorola E-field sensor, some tricky code to sense brain electrical activity, and you could almost be on Pern !

Gwen, that picture of your touch keyer is driving me crazy. I can't identify the chips. It should be easy - VCC on 1, output on 2 and a CR on 6/7, they're obviously an oscillator of some kind, though not a 555. There aren't many other candidates, but damned if I can locate one. I notice they're painted, not ground off, so the type number is there underneath. Would you care to put me out of my misery by scraping the paint and telling me what they are? Even the manufacturer would be a good clue.
