Hello,

Im starting to use ASF platform for developing over SAM microcontrollers (by now SAMD21, then planning to move to SAME54).

Im using a simple toolchain: openocd + arm-none-eabi + text editor.

Not planning to use AS7.

So far using start.atmel.com i had been able to merge the configuration from winc1500 tcp server example and the io demo examples.

It was compiled and tested, all good so far.

My goal is to add mqtt to that project.

I had look through the START examples but there is no mqtt example, but there is an example on ASF 3.4 with mqtt (the mqtt example chat, which i have already compiled and tested).

That mqtt example is based on pahomqtt library that comes as thirdparty library on ASF 3.4.

My questions for the forum is:

Is there a resource that explain how to port a library to an ASF4 project? or

a tutorial, or example about it?

Right now im looking to copy the library to the applications folder and edit the makefile, but ASF4 makefile is complicated ...

Thanks...

Well, I managed to add the MQTT library from the ASF3 into the TCP server example from ASF4-START.

I created a How to.

Adding a thirdparty library to ASF4 project.

Hope this is helpful.
