Near as I can tell, the "boot select" jumper next to the reset button on the NGW100 does ... nothing documented.
Is that true? What is it intended to do?
It does nothing, it can be used for an early stage bootloader if you wish to have something less complex than u-boot.
Thanks. Sometimes a "boot select" mode affects initial memory mappings, like whether address zero refers to an on-chip mask ROM or instead an external NOR flash. Here it seems to be just a GPIO that could be used to change behavior of whatever code gets loaded from that NOR flash ... kernel from MMC vs from NOR, etc.
Correct, AP7000 does not have a boot ROM, so there is no change in hardware. Any users of this pin has to read out the value from the PIO controller.
