This is my first attempt at uploading with Arduino IDE although I've used other IDEs with other micros.
I am using a new computer and just downloaded Arduino IDE 1.8.10. Trying to work with a new Arduino NANO clone.
Plugged the board into USB port, the power LED is on and the user LED blinks once per sec for about 100 ms.
The computer is running Windows 10 and no other programs are running. I've selected the BLINK example sketch and
Board: "Arduino Nano"
Programmer: "AVRISP mk11"
BN: Unknown board
SN: Upload any sketch to obtain it
The following messages come up after I hit Upload:
Sketch uses 924 bytes (3%) of program storage space. Maximum is 30720 bytes.
Global variables use 9 bytes (0%) of dynamic memory, leaving 2039 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.
Problem uploading to board. See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/T... for suggestions.
Using Port : COM11
Using Programmer : arduino
Overriding Baud Rate : 115200
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_getsync() attempt 1 of 10: not in sync: resp=0xcd
the last two lines are repeated 10 times.
Win10 Device Manager lists: USB-SERIAL CH340(COM11)
Port Settings: 9600,8,N,1,None
After checking the above referenced Guide I changed the port settings to 115200 baud, disabled Zone Alarm firewall, and tried to upload again.
The same series of error messages repeated.
Any suggestions welcome.
