Hello,

I'd like to know how to replicate my internal clock on the PC7(clkout) pin. I saw topics showing how to do it by coding it, but is it possible by using Atmel Start ?

  • Device: Atmel Studio 7
  • Microcontroller: ATXMEGA256A3BU-AU
  • Clock: 2MHz multiplied by 15 (PLL) -> 30Mhz

I don't find how to do it in the Event System configurator or the PinMux Configurator.

I maybe missed something obvious, I would highly appreciate any help provided.

Thanks in advance.

In non-Xmega it's simply a fuse you program. Are you sure it's not just the same for this chip?

EDIT: OK so no, the datasheet simply says you set the selection bits (which clock to output to the pin) in the CLKEVOUT register.

 So that is going to be PORTCFG.CLKEVOUT

(nothing says you have to do the "simple stuff" with Atmel Start - when it comes to setting a few bits in a single register it's easier to write one line of C!)

Ok, so I can only do it by the code.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.
