I am not able top install any devices packs to Atmel Studio 7

The installation hangs at 'Installation is in progess...'

This happens regardless of if I use the Device Pack Manager or if I download the atpack and install it that way.

I have tried clearing the cache. I even reinstalled Atmel Studio but nothing works.

I particularly want to install SAMD21_DFP version 1.3.331.

I am running Windows 10.

Thanks,

Levi Riley

I was able to solve this issue.

My user account had a space in the name. By taking the space out of my user account and my user folder (https://support.microsoft.com/en...) the package installation would complete.

I have informed Atmel about the issue.

Thanks for posting a workaround to this problem.  This has bugged me for days and I can't believe in this day and age we still have programs being tripped up by spaces!   For me it is too risky to change my whole user account just to get this to install so I'll also sent a whingemail to Atmel/Microchip asking for them to fix the problem.

Regards

Andrew

Is there a manual way to install these, or an update on this issue?

I figured out a workaround - create a user without the space, then logon as that user, then install the packs.  Then go back to the correct account with the space(s).
