My wife told me she got us some rechargeable batteries...I took a look , they were AA....Ok, I said, but you didn't get a charger!!!
She said but they came with a charging cable???
OK, Expecting a charger of some sort, I saw it was just a std to micro USB cable.
I looked at the AA batteries, they have micro USB jacks on their side!!!

a, thanks. They also have them in AA if you search on "Sorbo rechargeable batteries".
1200mAh will nicely fit in a AA cell as with a small SMPS they will only need about 500mAh Lipo.
Hope they also can deliver current. They show them being used in RC cars, but wonder how long they will last there.
So, in order to charge more than one of these you need yo find a USB charger with multiple ports for each cell? Then you have the inevitable tangle of wires.
400maH is not much capacity either.

Something like this is particularly useful if you go to a hotel or a cruise ship where they give you a paltry 1 power socket and you have cameras, phones and all kinds of other things you want to charge at the same time.
The only argument I have against it is the that LCD is completely superfluous, can't be turned off and glows very bright green !

Interesting that it shows port 6 is charging, port 7 none, but there is nothing in 6, and at least a cable in 7!

were did you get this? could use one in the caravan ( were also we only have 1 outlet that is easilly accessible).
I think the screen will warn for to much current drawn, you now can see if a port is alive or not. and rudimentary check the drawn current. could be handy.

To be honest I don't think I've ever reached a point of using all 8. Probably 4 or 5 is a usual maximum so those other options that have just 4 or 6 (and no annoying LCD) might actually be a better option.
I'm sure the same must also be on Amazon Prime etc too. (which is where I'd probably buy such a thing these days).

I like how you can buy those portable battery "bricks", so you can recharge your cell phone from them......pass the charge...Of course, each stage is not 100% efficient, so the losses build.

Now they need to come up with wireless batteries (!!!), so you can just charge them by throwing them on an inductive charging plate (it would probably be extremely inefficient)...you heard it here first, let the royalties roll in.
It looks interesting. It would be better if it could charge wirelessly. Remove those cumbersome wires....
Many multimeters use 9V cells so I've been thinking about buying one of these:
I won't use it for multimeter because there is a switching step-up reg inside the cell pack.
I beleive it can not supply DC power as clean as a standard 9V , it may affect the accuracy of measurements.
