RF or wifi module ?? What should i use?

Hi dears.
I have project with keypad and seven segment, i want when a number entered in keypad that number by wifi or rf module send to seven segment.
Its distances is between 150-300 meter.
Can you tell me which module whit what name is best choise for me. That work well for a years and dont stop working whit good price not expensive and can coding it in avr. My keypad and 7segment ic is atmega32. I want to intrduce me a module.

What is ‘whit’?

There are esp8266 and esp32 modules. No avr needed.

Wifi would probably be a complete waste to send 3 or 4 byte of data & that's it.

 

Use one of those simple RF modules & try to get the max distance you can
