We want to program an atmega8 with spi,
And without any programmer, can every body explain it’s procedure based on it’s datasheet?
For example I don’t know after resetting micro how I can send my hex code by spi?
Thank you

how I can send my hex code by spi?

And where from do you intend to send this data from? Another chip?

For the Mega8 you have the old AVR910 application note (in assembler) that can program the chip. Many cheap programmers are based on that.

Maybe you spend $4?  https://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-AVR-Programmer-w-6-Pin-10-Pin-IDC-ISP-Connector-For-USBASP/382191022734?hash=item58fc5c328e:g:zbcAAOSw1EhZjC5Z:sc:USPSFirstClass!74014!US!-1

If you have macintosh, there are instructions floating around how to use the parallel printer port for isp, but I haven't seen a mac with a port like that in a long time.

Instructions for USB virtual serial port on macOS though that AVR programmer is approximately twice the price of a USBasp :
