I just started looking into AVR projects (initially arduino).  I was looking for open source simulators and saw the thread on "New Simulator".  I had also found these:

https://github.com/buserror/simavr

https://www.nongnu.org/simulavr/

https://github.com/ghewgill/emulino/

And of course I started working on my own.  I was interested in handling timing jitter etc, so mine is driven by clock instead of instructions.

Any othersp there?

PicSimlab by L.C. Gamboa has a freeware sim with an Arduino option that runs your compiled/assembled hex. It also has several pic boards options. I think you can get it from Sourceforge. It's more versatile than it used to be but it's still limited... it's a simulator. Don't think it's open source.

thanks source forge link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/picsim/

It seems to have recent activity, but no source code on sourceforge.

https://github.com/avrsimulator/... enables you to use GDB on the simulator models in the official Device Family Packs (DFPs) at http://packs.download.atmel.com/
