Hello,

i have started small production line and now i have to stop using LED strips (ineffective, expensive, low quality,...) and am palnning ot make my custom pcb for leds. Currently i use 5050 RGB led strip.

I have 1.7meter of LED PCB which totals to 100x 5050 SMD RGB LED bulb, for 1 finished product. After all the calculations i have done, the LED bulbs looks like they will consist 70-90% of total PCB cost. I will be needing around 10.000 to 40.000 of SMD LED BULBS.

So now i am looking at all sites i usually use to buy components (Farnell, Mouser, Digikey, Arrow, ...) and prices there are around 10times higher then similar items on Alibaba, Gearbest and so on.  So i wonder if anyone knows of a site with office or branch in Europe, where i could get SMD LED RGB bulbs (dont even have to be 5050s, anyones whit similar performance and size will do) whit prices similar to those on the majority of chinese sites?

Thanks in advance.

This topic has a solution.

Buy them on aliexpress or alibaba like the rest of us do and move on. Maybe banggood.com?

What are the specs? 10 times the price for bulk quantities sounds like a lot!

What are the specs? That is the point of starting a conversation... don't you think?

Have you tried lcsc.com? They have parts from some cheaper Asian manufacturers, it's less random than Ebay/Aliexpress/Gearbest. Though many manufacturers also have official stores on Aliexpress.

Specs are not important yet, i can adjust the power supply, brightness, consumption... so anything goes, from 3V to 24V, from 5mA to 50mA.... thanks all, i actualy did find some good stuff on LCS and TEM :D

When comparing prices at well known distributors, be sure to look at the full reel price, as individual "cut tape" prices are much higher.

It is always cheaper at the bulk price (full reel)!

About 10 years ago I got 8,000 LEDs from jeledhk on eBay, I see that they are no longer registered with them, don't know why. Maybe because they found out that they would give you a much better price if you bypassed eBay. cheeky

My hands were shaking a little when I transferred US$2,280.00 but I had no problems, the LEDs worked well and most of them are still running on site after about 10 years.

I have the seller's email if you want to check them out and see if they are still in business.

Maybe these are the same people https://szvictory.en.made-in-chi... but now trading via Alibaba instead of eBay.
