It might be a default setting that is wrong, but there is something strange happening.

I have encountered this both at home using an AVR-ISP MKII (AVR8 bit processors) and now at work with an Atmel ICE ( ARM ).

When I use the device programming dialog ( Tools -> Device programming ) I select the appropriate processor + Interface and press " apply"

Then I just want to read the Target voltage and press the Read button:

I get an error message:

and the target voltage does not show:

But when I want to read the device signature and thus press that "Read" button the target voltage is shown and the device ID too

I wonder if this is some setting that I set wrong, or if this is actually a bug in studio....

I've seen the same behavior. My hunch is that it is a bug, either in the programmer or the driver for the programmer.

Thanks, that at least makes me not insane, hahahahaha

hope a couple of others can confirm too. then I will see if I can get a bug report out.

just had a quick look at the microchip website, but that is going to be an interesting experience when I have to dive into it, hahahaha.

+1 can confirm.  But I assumed it was an operator error on my part. It normally is.  :-)
