About once every minute Atmel Studio freezes and throws the following errors (see below).  It doesn't seem to correspond with any particular task.  It happens when Idle, writing code, or navigating directories.

I tried contacting support but all I get is voicemail. When I try to login to mymicrochip.com and create a ticket I get a 404 unauthorized error. Now I am on a last ditch effort looking for help on this forum.  This has not been a good experience and I hope this community can steer me in the right direction.  Thanks.

And how is anyone able to help you when you provide no information other than "it doesn't work."

What version of Windows?

What version of AS7?

Any issues with the install, regardless of how minor you may think they are?

Sorry for not including info:

  • OS Name: Microsoft Windows 10 Home
  • Version: 10.0.17134
  • AS7 Version: 7.0.1931 (Just installed this version but have had the same issue on multiple versions.)
  • No issues with install.

The issue seems to be with using corsair peripherals, per the thread below.  I unplugged my corsair mouse and the issue has resolved for now.

Makes one wonder if Corsair fudged a little on the USB specification to get that latency down.  Couldn't possibly be anything wrong with AS7!! wink
