Please I've never worked with atmel sam e70 xplained board and want to know what is the maximum frequency of its timer
I've searched and found that it was 300 MHz but want just to verify if this informtion is correct.
Any help will be so appreciated.

The timers are internal to the chip - so it makes no difference to them what board the chip is  mounted on.

This should be specified in the chip datasheet.

Why do you doubt it?

Give a link and details of where you found that - so that we can see it in context.

  2. "Garbage" characters on a serial terminal are (almost?) invariably due to wrong baud rate - see: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/serial-communication
  3. Wrong baud rate is usually due to not running at the speed you thought; check by blinking a LED to see if you get the speed you expected
