Hello!

I know this isn't quite an AVR related topic, but I know many of you are using eagle to design your PCBs... I have downloaded the free version myself, but I can't find my way around the libraries... Can you please give me a tip on how could I find a SIMPLE resistance, 100ohm ? a SIMPLE capacitor 10pF, etc?... There are so many choices, I'm totally confused...

Thanks,
Akos

The RCL library is the right place for this. Simply go down the list and pick one of your liking.

all of them are "simple" there are just all kinds of sizes and flavors. choose the one which looks the most like yours.

Is the 'big picture' idea to make your own library of the parts you use in your projects by cutting and pasting from the provided libraries? After a while, your library will have every part you have used. Maybe someone could list the steps to copy a library part? If I mention that this is an AVR project, maybe it wont be so offtopic?

Do you know where I can find some power connectors? Jack-like maybe, for 5V/GND

Thx

In Eagle? Schematic symbols or footprint?

Lee

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.

I've never met a pig I didn't like, as long as you have some salt and pepper.

Yeah, in EAGLE... to include on the PCB design...

For resistors and capacitors, choose by type (footprint) and add the value to the schematic AFTER is in place.
