Hi I want to configure the pushbutton (not the reset one, the other one) to turn on and off the onboard led of my Atmel SAME70-XPLD, but when I look at the documentation for the board, it says that the button is used to bring the board out of low power mode. Is there any way to configure it to do what I want?

Yes.  Take a look at the schematic for the SAME70_XPLD board.  SW300 (User Button) is connected to GPIO pin PA11.  There's also test probe TP300 right next to it for a multimeter or oscilloscope.  Configure PA11 as an input, then when pressed it goes to logic level zero (GND when pushed).  Monitor the input and toggle LED0 (User LED) connected to GPIO PC8 every time PA11 transitions from one to zero.

It's all listed on page 2 of 7 of the schematic.
