Is there a AVR or something that can record a sound and then able to play it back into a tiny speaker?

Thanks

Atmel AVR application note:

Quote:
AVR335: Digital Sound Recorder with AVR and DataFlash
This Application Note describes how to record, store and play back sound using any AVR
MCU with A/D converter, the AT45DB161 DataFlash memory and a few extra components

Here's a good way to do it:

You don't have to use a PIC, the algorithm will work on anything.

Leon,

Looks like someone nicked the algorithm! (and there's nothing in the .zip that would help)

suzwt,

So that actually RECORDS to MP3 does it - truly astonishing!

(the best I could do in realtime was ADPCM, I don't know how you could do MP3 encode in realtime using just a lowly AVR!)
