That really IS sweet. Worth trying. Maybe on my new XplainedATMega4809. Like the little LCD and the use of the rotary encoder.

Nice idea, but why not use a MCU with a D/A built in, to get a higher performance ?

Tiny85 is 'mature' and newer parts are cheaper and you can get 8,10,12b D/A in a range of MCUs
