Hi Guys,

Newbie here. I've been working on the SAML21 Xplained Pro Board. I'm planning to develop a PCB based on the Xplained Pro's Schematics. It has both an Embedded (on-board)Debugger and an option for External Debugger. So if I use ATMEL-ICE as an external Debugger for uploading code can I eliminate the Embedded Debugger from the Schematic for the PCB?

Of course! Just wire up the 10 pin swd connector to the correct pins and you're done.

Thanks for the reply. But can someone Checkout the schematics for the Xplained Pro Board and let me know, because the current measurement unit seems to be connected only to the Embedded Debugger and not to the Target MCU.

then Power Debugger instead of Atmel-ICE.
