I got a Dragon the other day, and found a 6-way cable for it this afternoon. The first thing I tried was ISP - programming a Tiny2313 on a prototyping board I designed some time ago. I know the target board is working because it was OK when I programmed the chip with an AVRISP, and the test program was actually running when I powered the board (flashing an LED). However, when I try to program the chip using the Dragon, I get an ISP mode error, it fails when entering programming mode. Debugging works OK, however - I can debug the program with the Dragon, and the Tiny2313 is programmed OK when I disconnect the Dragon.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Answering my own post, it must be because I have DebugWire enabled.

I have just disabled DebugWire and ISP now works OK.
