Hello,

I've been trying to test the WILC1000 SDIO module with the SAMA5D3 Xplained board and the latest Linux Mainline Version (4.12.0-rc7).

I'm using also the following firmware: wilc1003_firmware.bin v14.1 from https://github.com/linux4sc/wire...

this is the result:

# modprobe wilc1000-sdio
wilc1000: module is from the staging directory, the quality is unknown, you have been warned.
wilc1000_sdio: module is from the staging directory, the quality is unknown, you have been warned.
wilc1000_sdio mmc0:0001:1: Driver Initializing success

# modprobe wilc1000

#

# ifconfig wlan0 up
wilc1000_sdio mmc0:0001:1: chipid (001003a0)
wilc1000_sdio mmc0:0001:1: has_thrpt_enh3 = 1...
wilc1000_sdio mmc0:0001:1 wlan0: loading firmware atmel/wilc1003_firmware.bin
random: crng init done
wilc1000_sdio mmc0:0001:1 wlan0: WLAN Iinitialization FAILED
wilc1000_sdio mmc0:0001:1 wlan0: Failed to set driver handler
wilc1000_sdio mmc0:0001:1 wlan0: [Host Interface] undefined
ifconfig: SIOCSIFFLAGS: Input/output error

#

I've added some printf in another version and it seems that the firmware cannot start !

I would really like any input ! Thanks!

Regards,

Hello,

I add problems too to make the Wilc1000 work!

You may found some information here:

http://www.at91.com/discussions/...

It seems that the 14.1 version is not working. Try with the v14...

But Atmel do not seems to maintain this firmware any more.
