I see from the list of supported devices in the docs that the toolchain has supported the tiny13 since version 1.2

however...
when i run make i get: "unknown MCU `attiny13' specified"
does anyone know what i've overlooked?

the software versions i have are:
avr-binutils 2.16
avr-gcc 3.4.5
avr-libc 1.4
(compiled using Fink)

any help is really appreciated. thanks! ~R

WinAVR 20060126 supports it just fine. Can you post your build output?

What Tools are you using? AvrStudio (SP4) + WinAvr (20060421)?

Stock GCC 3.4.5 didn't support that device. You need patches.

See the lengthy thread about MacAVR here.

Ahem: "Fink" is one of the packaging systems of Mac OS X. There's a
world beyond Windows...

Oups, I did look over this line...

Yeah, I know! Once upon the time, I used Linux for myself. I was happy with KDE + c.o. although everything was slower than with Win98. Until one day, I changed to DSL and got an USB-modem from my provider. But then, everybody has let me standing in the rain, neither the provider nor the modem supplier or any linux-distributor or -user was able to help with a working DSL-modem driver...

Well, unfortunately I didn't had the skill do write such a driver by myself, and so I went back to bill gates...

Thanks Jörg...
I found the link to the AVR-GCC patch about halfway down the discussion.

Does anyone have instructions on how this patch is installed in Fink?
(until now I have let Fink keep my software up to date, so I have never needed to patch anything)

Thanks again, ~R

I've got no idea about Fink, so perhaps it's best you rather ask
that in a separate thread indicating you're looking for help for
Mac OS X (so those who are knowledgable about it will read it).

Can't you use the software offered there directly instead?
