Hi All,

I have been struggling for a while with USB Host examples for the USBKEY. I would like to get the "USBKEY-series7-host_ms_hidmouse_dfu_device_2hid_ms" example (that can be downloaded from the Atmel website) into AS7 as a project. I had thought that it would appear somewhere within AS7 as an example project but I cannot find it, in fact I can find no USBKEY kit related examples in AS7 (strange but true).

Anyone know the best way to use this example in AS7?

Thanks in advance, Ray : Patient :

In theory all those standalone projects should have been assimilated into "ASF"

Having said that I just had a hunt around:

and you are right - I find nothing about AT90USB chips. Presumably they gave in and assumed everyone would use LUFA?

I  have managed to get the Host mass storage example AVR287 working in AS7 at long last, well in fact it was by going to Atmel support team, who have now supplied the attached AS4 project that will import into AS7 and build without errors. I tried the resulting hex code in my USBKEY2 kit and it seems to work so I am in a better position to go forward with my USB host project studies.

I was able to see my test text files transferred in/out between an attached memory stick and the on-board host dataflash, what can I say? - it took a lot of effort and perseverance to get what I thought would be a simple USB example up and running from AS7.

I was going to attach the modified AVR287 example zip file I received from Atmel support but unfortunately it is too large(13.4MB) and exceeds the limit of this forum.
