Hi,

So i'm making a PCB for a very specific appplication. I'm using making the board for the mega128...

anyone there are some general I/O pins that i know i won't need..

what should i do with them? just leave them floating?? or should i at least pull them up?? i'm trying to make the board as small as possible.. so i guess i'm just asking if it's okay to just leave them floating..

thanks

Hi,

this is a very common quenstion, it is often discussed here and in many other places.
Did you ever try to use the "Search" button at the top of this page?
Pleas do so the next time.

Short answer:
AVR is a CMOS part.
DONT EVER LEAVE AN UNUSED INPUT OF A CMOS PART FLOATING!

Simplest way with AVR port pins: use the internal pull up feature:

Don't ever, not even during reset?

You just might mean that, the way you shout.
