Hi all,

Appreciate pointing to the write direction how to set up the SAMG55J19 to use its TWI7 (I2C) from PIN27A/PIN28A.  According to the datasheet, I would have use these pins as peripheral B.  I am fairly new to Cortext-M4, in fact, new to the ARM 32-bit programming.  The documentation found on ARM is rather terse.   Thanks for any pointer or even sample project.

What's a sam55j19?

No use looking at ARM documentation as it is nother to do with ARM. You need to read the Atmel user manual for your part or the ASF documentation. ASF will do the necessary setup for you or by reading the user manual, you can write code to setup the dozen or so registers to enable the i2c. You need to enable the clocks to the pin peripheral as well as any other peripheral you use otherwise you get a 'hard fault'.
