Atmel’s ticket website for asking questions to Atmel engineers is down.  As of this post, it's on the 7th day.  Since Atmel does not have FAE’s, this is the only interaction available with Atmel engineers.  Whats going on?

Probably, no one can answer in the Atmel's name any more...

But there should be more information and guidance.

They may have given them a nice "vacation" as part of the "integration"

Mhm, it seems that the login does not work (tested from FF on Linux). Chromium on Linux seems to be fine. Will report it to the webteam on monday. For the time being you could try a different browser.

Login on Firefox is still down.  Are they aware login is broken with FF?

The gentleman above MAY work for Atmel AFAIK so I think they know.

Do you still see this issue? Both Chrome and Firefox seems to work fine for me

The login still fails, yes.  Previously, login worked on IE and failed on Firefox.  Now, as of May 17, it fails on both Firefox _and_ IE.

Sorry, when I re-checked monday last week it worked with FF again (and tickets kept coming in) so I assumed it was ok. Opened a ticket now, but it might be hard to debug since it seems to be quite flaky.

and tickets kept coming in

I have received a couple of messages saying that I hve not replied to the support email, which I have.

Maybe things are vanishing??

I get here with no problems:

I just went to Atmel.com, logged into "MyAtmel" then took the link to "create a support ticket". This is Firefox 44.0 on Ubuntu 12.04 in fact.

Reply from webteam is the following, maybe you can try it temporarily
:
· Java script is enabled
· That your browser is not blocking third party cookies
· An ad blocker is not enabled
· Disable all add-ons
o If you are using Ghostery, disable or be sure that Janrain, under Site Analytics is allowed
· If you have the Norton Toolbar, disable or uninstall it
· Try a different browser ensuring the items listed below for that browser, including Chrome Incognito or Firefox Private browsing
· Be sure to clear cache/browser history/cookies, closing all instances of the browser
· If you are using Internet Explorer
o Go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy Tab
o Click Sites
o Ensure that secure.atmel.com is added to Managed Sites

For me the issue was ghostery and noscript blocking certain scripts - after turning off both it works. It's strange though that you see the note about maintenance. That's not visible to me.

I always have that and it still works for me so I think that one may be a red herring.

What happens when you try a sensible browser like Firefox, Chrome or Opera? IE isn't known as "Internet Exploder" for nothing!

Can you wind back and say, starting at www.atmel.com your exact sequence to reach this?

As I say, for me it was simply a case of visiting www.atmel.com. On the top bar you see:

Within that I click on "Log In" which leads to:

So I [Sign In] which leads to:

and within that I then click the link to "Open a New Support Case" which gets me here:

So where does your experience differ?

I see in your address bar the start of a URL that starts "https://secure.a" - what is that?

There are lots of problems with the web site right now, I tried to download some example software from some AVRxxx application notes and there are random broken links everywhere on the website. Not only that, some of the links that do work will only work in Internet Explorer and will not work in Chrome or Firefox. I honestly don't have time to search through their entire website and email them all the broken stuff I found over the past couple weeks. I've reported a few things.

You could try

- a different computer on the same network

- a portable version of FF (You never know how many settings of FF get messed up over time)

I think I found the problem preventing login access.  Login is denied when protection mode is enabled in IE.  When protection is disabled, access to the login page is granted.

Access to the login page still fails on my Firefox.  What is the equivalent of protection mode on Firefox?

The site still generates the JavaScript errors though.
