let me please know how to handle the eeprom debugging in 4.02 or earlier.
when a table is written in eeprom and then the *.asm is assembled, does it show itself in the workspace or the eeprom window after building the project?
thank you

Hello all

I am as astonished as nobody answered this message
We have the same question exactly
What would be necessary it to make in this case to circumvent the problem?

.ESEG
EE_SomeData1:
.db 0x01, 0x02, 0x03, 0x04
If I code thus, AvrStudio does not show the data initialization by watching the internal EE content, nothing. Only the address " EE_SomeData1" is accessible and correct !

I agree still a beginner in this field.
Does something escape to me I makes an error?

With all my thanks for your answers

Hi Folks,

I really hope I understand your problem correctly and don't tell you thinks that you know for years.

If you want to see the content of the EEPROM that you created with a .eseg or similar in the code, you have to upload it from the .eep file to the simulator. After Build-and-run click on debug-up/download memory and choose the .eep file that was created by the assembler. You can then see the correct content in one of the memory windows (view- memory window) if you select EEPROM.

Atmel: Why on earth do I have to specifiy the number of bytes to load? It worked well in AVR-Studio 3.x without any number from my side? Frankly, this is not the only thing that got worse from 3.x to 4.
I had decided to stay with Version 3 until I searched for bug a couple of hours yesterday evening only to find out that Studio 3.50 uses a wrong input pin for T1 on the 4433. In Studio 4 it works so I have hardheardedly decided to float with the current and convert to Studio 4 religion.

Have fun everyone,
Herbert
