AS7 huge visual glitches, seeking for a fix?

Hi, this has driven me nuts allready, picture included from worst kind of scenario.

these issues are constant, and happens everywhere in AS7 which makes writing code impossible.

 

System:

win10 64bit

R9 290 video card(have tried older drivers)

newest atmel installation.

i had these same issues with android studio, but that was sorted out with -> Enviroment variable : _JAVA_OPTIONS  :-Dsun.java2d.d3d=false -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true, maybe there is something similar for AS7??

The following two regkeys should force Atmel Studio into software rendering mode

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Atmel\AtmelStudio\7.0\General]
"AutoAdjustExperience"=dword:00000000
"VisualEffectsAllowed"=dword:00000000

However, if it is a repeating issue that programs have rendering glitches, then it really sounds like there's something iffy with your graphics driver.

i will try this thx!

 

this issue seems to only haunt programming enviroments AS7 and android studio(which got fixed with the java tweak)in my case, no other program have proplems with rendering(ie. games, media players etc)

Do you suggest i should contact AMD in this case aswell?

 

Edit: from a view from fast test i could say forcing the software rendering did help as i was not able to see glitches, so i have to say huge thank you as im able to continue with my project now hopefully :)

I... don't know.

 

Something in the stack is misbehaving, since for Atmel Studio at least, WPF (the graphic framework that it is mostly built with) will degrade to software rendering automatically if it finds any issues with applying hardware rendering. In this case, it apparently haven't triggered any of the safety switches and gone into software rendering mode (which is beyond me really, I've always gotten graceful degradation when I've been testing it).

Hmmn, sounds weird to me then(can just say "have a nice day" for software team to identify this "edge" case then :P)

I think i will contact AMD with this proplem maybe they are aware of it allready or not, will report back here what they got to say related to this.
