So, I've been using AS 7 on Windows 10 on my 5-Year old DELL laptop for ages, with no real issues at all. (Apart from the hiccough with the Dragon in the first couple of weeks).

No hangs, crashes or failures to program.

Then on Monday I went to Bristol to see Mr Major Client and took the project on a USB stick.

The client has the same version of AS 7 installed on a Lenovo laptop. It was a nightmare!

Programming was much slower, and about 2 out of every 3 times the programmer (again, a Dragon) would hang up and I've have to unplug/replug the dragon and quit / restart AS7 to get things to program.

It made me look a wee bit amateurish to the client!

Just saying!

What versions of USB drivers on the respective machines?

(it seems about 90% of the issues are to do with the drivers)
