Greetings

I am working with Atmel Studio 7 and trying to create a new project using the "Create project from Arduino sketch" option.  After I select the sketch, board and device, it gives me an "Access is denied" error popup.

I have tried running Atmel Studio with Admin rights with the same error.

I had to upgrade my Arduino version at first because no values were showing in the board and device dropdowns, so I upgraded to Arduino 1.6.7.  While I have the dropdown values now, I get the "Access is Denied" error.

Has anyone had any experience with that?

Thanks and have an awesome day!

Todd

Try moving the Arduino stuff to a "clean" location on your drive then try to import from that. Of course the "access right" thing may mean "write access" to the place where new project files are trying to be created. So maybe try altering that too?

Also there have been various threads here about anti-virus software interfering with the operation of Studio so you might want to see if it's reporting anything it thinks is "illegal". Perhaps it's being overly cautious?

For what its worth, I wound up downloading version 1.6.0 and the conversion from arduino to C worked.
