Is it possible to download code with AVR-JTAGICE-MKII

Hei all,

I am looking to use the on-chip-debug feature using the
1-wire-debug-interface on the ATMEGA48 device, via the emulator ATJTAGICE2 or AVR-JTAGICE-MKII.

What i could not find, in the documentation of the emulator is, if it is possible to download program code to the target device via the emulator?

Or

Do i still need the ISP to download code to the device.

As it happens, the JTAGICE mkII will download the code of a program into the Mega48 every time you start to debug it. You can then just detach the JTAG and the program code remains programmed.

If you ONLY want to download without starting to debug then click the icon marked "Con" on the toolbar and select "JTAGICE mkII" as the Platform and leave the port on "Auto" and then the usual program hex file, set fuses, read signature dialogs will be available to you
