I found a strange auction site. They've got cool equipment and for seemingly fine prices. do you know anything about them?

About 8 months ago I got some wire from them (800 pounds worth). There are only 3 things you should be aware of.

1. They add a 10 percent charge (and tax of course) so it is a little more expensive then you think it will be.

2. You have to pick it up in person - there's no shipping.

3. They dont have any idea of the condition of the items. It might be crushed into a pancake (they move everything with pallets and fork lifts) or missing parts or non-functioning. So its somewhat of a gamble.

Other then that, its a pretty cheap place to get stuff. I live near the one in norfolk so thats the only one I'm commenting on.

The shipping companies will pick it up for you and ship it. I was going to buy a tektronix scope and the ups store said they would pick it up and ship it to Seattle for 100 bucks. Seemed pretty reasonable to me. Also they have a condition code that describes what kind of shape the items are in. Here is the link for a pdf file describing the condition codes.
