I have three different extensión boards how:

ATZB-256RFR2-XPRO EXPLAINED EXT ZIGBIT.

ATZB-X-233 -XPRO EVAL BOARD XMEGAA3U RF233 FOR 2.4 GHZ ZITBIT.

ATZB-X-233-USB STICK ZIGBIT.

When I wanted to program these, I see the user guide “http://www.atmel.com/Images/Atmel-42186-ZigBit%20Extension-User-Guide.pdf “. On the section 1.5.1 JTAGICE. It says to me “How to program using the AVR® JTAGICE mkII and JTAGICE3.”  Then I went to Atmel page to buy the programmer.

The first option was  JTAGICE mkII but I wanted to buy It. In the page there was a message, It say that programmer is discontinued and the replacement was Atmel-ICE

The second option was JTAGICE3 But Atmel don’t had available units. Then I bought  The Atmel-ICE.

My problem is:

  1. I cannot program nothing of extension board above mentioned.
  2. When I open The AtmelStudio 6.2.9 in Tools==>DeviceProgramming.

the following error appears.

I like to know if somebody can help me to program these extension boart with a good advice.

Marthur

Tahnk you

First check that you can read Device Signature and Target Voltage. This will verify debugger connection.

Also, the error says that target power is not detected. Do you actually have power on that board?

Also try connect RESET to GND. If your MCU sleeps, it must help.
