Hi,
I've been working with pics and am now going to AVRs too.
I need to do some double precision floating point math. (ex. 85/1.6572). I didn't see any coded routines for this on the site but I'm still getting around. What's the best AVR for this can I do it with a 2313?
I noticed an insruction FMUL that I assume is single (ex. 1.23x 3.41) can I get (ex. 2.345x 3.416) out of this instruction?

check the AVRco compiler from e-lab

it have verry good suport to floting point

end multitasking to :-)

FMUL is FRACTIONAL multiply. I would think it is difficult to do any meaningful FP on a 2313 due to lack of code space and SRAM.

It's a zip file. I tried downloading it myself but I got garbage too. I reckon if you cut&paste that garbage into a text editor and save it with a .zip extension it may just work.

BASCOM-AVR supports floating point math, LOG and EXP functions. www.mcselec.com has the demo of it, its a great compiler for $69!
