hi

I'am trying to interface a 3310 lcd ta a atmega 8 using the microsyl lib.
The lcd doesn't seem to react, But when i reset the program i can see the display going blank and then the contrast is low but i can see the outline.
I tried changing the contrast but that doen't seem to work

Can anyone help

Hello!
I havent't tried that lib, I just hooked the display to the SPI pins of a mega16.
It worked right away, including contrast, reverse image, etc.

Do you have the datasheet for the PCD8544 controller?
Is the lib based on hardware or software SPI?

Info and datasheet on Jesper's site:

Good luck!

The LCD voltage (normally pin 3 on standard displays) needs to be about 4.5 volts below VCC. Generally, a 10k to VCC and 1k to ground gives good results. If the VCC is a bit low (<4.5V) the display fades out, but I've successfully run a Lumex display from 3.3V VCC with the LCD voltage (pin 3) pulled down to minus 1.2V.
