I have a SAM3N-EK kit and i want to get starting with arm programming.

I had does some efforts with tutorials and examples about ASF, but all my programs works by little bit of luck! so i want to learn something things about arm programming

and arm architecture.

im using ASF

where can i start from?

i tried with simple led blinking program

but the first matter it was:

whats the difference between IOPORT and GPIO.

and some many things who does not understand.

is there some tutorial which explain those things?

Thanks!

whats the difference between IOPORT and GPIO.

Read the ASF manual:

http://asf.atmel.com/docs/latest...

If you select the "Category" there and set it to "I/O" you will see both GPIO and IOPORT listed. If you pick one of the GPIO selections you will see this:

Hopefully the red underlining I have added to that emphasizes the point?

If you do select IOPOT for SAM3 there then there's a link to "quick start" which gets you here:

http://asf.atmel.com/docs/latest...

That should be a good starting point (the fact that GPIO doesn't have such a "quick start" is another clue to the fact that it is deprecated).
