Came across an undocumented reset source flag in the Xmega32E5.h file: SDRF in Reset.Source

I say undocumented because I cannot find any reference to it in the E series or 8,16,32 E5 manual.

Does any freak out there have the low down or any insight on this?

Ah yes sorry, I did get the definition in the .h file but that was all. No specs or details or how it works, etc.

Ummmm... In a very old version of the atxmega A manual:

section 9.4.3 discusses the spike detector. However, it's been removed from more recent manuals.

says "This is because we have, unfortunately, not been able to validate the spike detector fully. The module is disabled in currently available parts to avoid unforeseen problems for any customers."

I'm guessing it was a feature introduced in the xmega, but they never managed to get it working. The bit field in the reset status is still there, and occasionally creeps into register definitions.

Ah ok, thanks. I have only played with the A1 through a bit of the "xplain training" series and never made it to the reset detail there.

Certainly not obvious to some. :oops:
