Can people please suggest good sources for small to medium cases/bezels for LCD displays? 16x2 is what I am using this time, but all links are welcome :)

I would like to find a case that is designed as a remote LCD mounting for a project.... i.e. The case houses the LCD and that's it.

Thanks.

My 2003 RS Components catalog says that Bulgin make some LED and LCD display bezels.
I couldn't immediately find them on their website http://www.bulgin.co.uk , but RS charge
like wounded bulls.
You could also try Hammond Manufacturing. They make various enclosures from plastics, metals, etc. There's various distributors in Australia. http://www.hammondmfg.com

Cool ... Thanks .... I had found those two companys in my googling .... but they didn't 'seem' to have what I want .. I shall look some more.

Surely someone must make good enclosure solutions for the hobbyist to use LCD displays in projects ....... and have it look pretty

Thanks John .... I had looked at Jaycar's boxes..... but there not quite what I am after. If you can imagine you just want to mount a 16x2 display on a panel in a surface mount fashion. So the enclosure would house only the LCD and have a ribbon tailing out of it back to the main box.

Well...I would get my own made up. Perhaps a single gang electrical plate and get someone with a router to cut it up. I use one of the Jaycar boxes to fit a 10mm high char 2linesx16 LCD and a keypad. I get the large cut for the LCD routed out and use an anodised plate to cover all the messy bits...but it's a bit more expensive...

Hi,

Based on the conversation I take it Harvey Bay is in Australia? Anyway, not sure if PacTec is available "down under" and I am not sure they make what you are looking for. Might be worth a look though, they have a very wide range of plastic enclosures.
