Dear Sir,

You are wasting your time with those guys.

@fata111

In C (which compiler?) or ASM?

Yes, we can >>HELP<< you do your homework. No we will not do your homework for you. That would defeat the purpose of homework.

How about this: I send you the c source to a compileable stopwatch program for a 2560, but you need to compile it with the imagecraft conpiler, or edit it to compile with the gcc or cv or iar compilers?

"Your attendance will be monitored and any student handing in work which was undertaken when they were absent will be required to demonstrate their code describe how it works. " (doc Brutte's link gave me, page 5)

They seem to be serious with the fact the student learnt something new by {him/her}self -but (s)he may ask questions!- , and can give good comments and well structured software (and I bet the student can be asked orally). Having the whole work done (even if (s)he has to translate it from a -almost standard- C dialect to another, this is very fast) can be in contradiction with the way students are evaluated .... and I bet it can be detected.
OTOH, there is nothing more unpleasant (cancer, maybe, cholera, pest, maybe too) than being stuck and in dispair because a tiny part does not work...

I'd give him an 'A' if he could port the c source from one compiler to another, and get it to burn and run.
Might be worth an 'A' to stand up the iccv8avr sw dev system and compile and burn it.

Always remember the old and true saying, "A good workman is known by his tools." A good workman may do a tolerable job with indifferent tools, but a beginner should never attempt to use any but first-class implements, or he will never become a first-class craftsman. If you use bad tools, and try to cast the blame of bad work on them, recollect that "A bad workman always complains of his tools."
