If you are having any kind of problem maybe start by trying the latest USB drivers that are mentioned in this post:

My problem occurs on some 328 devices after trying to set the DWEN fuse.

I always get an error message during the ISP programming of that fuse, something like the "operation terminated because of a previous command error".

Usually, I can eventually get debugWire interface working by "bumbling, stumbling" around. Of course setting the interface from ISP to debugWire, but I haven't found a way that I can repeat reliably to get up and going under debugWire.

I never disable SPI fuse, nor use HV programming.

Now, I have the second device that seems to be ruined, after trying to set DWEN fuse using ISP. Can't do anything ISP or debugWire.

Other devices still in debugWire can be still be programmed and debugged fine, so it doesn't seem USB related.

AtmelStudio 6.1.2730
Atmega 328

Thanks,

Dave Thomas

No one should be using ISp to change DWEN. Just let Studio handle the switching of the fuse into and out of debug mode.

(your post is off-topic for this thread so let's continue further discussion elsewhere).
