[edit] Page Names should not contain :

There are lots of articles as e.g. Documentation:Getting_Started_with_AVRs

Such articles are not seen in Special:Allpages as I expect. I think this is because these articles use the colon ':' in their topic (name). All that articles should be moved to e.g. Documentation-Getting_Started_with_AVRs - replacing the colon ':' by something else. HJHerbert 17:56, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

When you are in Special:Allpages you can choose the namespace Documentation, and you will see all the documentation pages. kimjoarr 09:39, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
The editing guidelines require everything to be in the Documentation namespace.--Dl8dtl 12:39, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
The editing guidelines require *documentation* to be in the Documentation namespace. Is that really everything? There's no other type of information that users can add to this Wiki?--ECROS Technology 22:58, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Are 8-bit and 32-bit AVR pages in danger of getting mixed up?

I see pages such as Documentation:Development_kits. Is that supposed to be for both 8-bit and 32-bit AVRs? Wouldn't the audiences be different? Shouldn't the Wiki try to keep these two huge categories separate somehow?--ECROS Technology 23:01, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Try to add pages into different categorys.

[[Category:AVR8]]
[[Category:AVR32]]
[[Category:gcc]]

Right, that makes sense. Help:Editing describes how to do this. But, can there now be a page with the name Documentation:Development_kits in more than one category? What I'm getting at is that unless categories do solve this problem (I suspect they don't), Development_kits was a bad choice for the page name or Documentation was a bad choice for the namespace because we're either forced to have both 8-bit and 32-bit AVR development kits on the same page or come up with some less-than-obvious rule for pages that might appear in both categories. --ECROS Technology 15:50, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

How can I contact the admins??!!?? Is there any problem with the search engine? I'm not able to find e.g. "linux", though there is av32 linux topic...

Hi the Search is working fine, you just have to select all the categories. See Search All Or you can edit your My preferences and select your default categories (ALL). Nigel 18 July 2007

[edit] add avr8

Currently the Main Page says

The intention of this wiki is to function as an evolving resource for Linux-related AVR32 projects, including the "official" AVR32 Linux toolchain.

That seems seems to imply that AVR8 stuff is off-topic.

I'm editing this page to clarify that the above is only one of the purposes of this wiki, and that AVR8 stuff is also on-topic.

If AVR8 stuff is actually off-topic for this wiki please (a) give me a link to a more appropriate wiki for me to discuss AVR8 stuff, and (b) revert my edit.

Thank you. --DavidCary 16:23, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
